Skateboarding Meets Connection
$500 Raised
Project Lifelong is a Sacramento-area nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals, primarily 8-17 years old, through unique and experiential programs aimed at fostering their social, mental, and physical well-being. By blending the thrill of healthy outdoor experiences such as skateboarding, camping, hiking, and surfing, with a well-structured and supportive community, participants develop lifelong passions and skills, boost their self-confidence through Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and acquire a profound sense of connection and belonging.
We are a Sacramento based non-profit empowering youth through skateboarding and outdoor adventure programs.
Project Lifelong's creative and visionary leadership team thinks outside the box when it comes to planning/implementing truly meaningful programs that are designed to empower and connect our youth. While grants serve a useful financial purpose, what we need is unrestricted funding so that we can step outside of the restrictive nature of grant funding.
Project Lifelong is currently seeking individuals who would like the challenge of serving on a non-profit board. These individuals should be active members who believe in the mission and want to help spread the word within their own sphere of influence.
A commitment to building positive, purposeful relationships with every youth member so that barriers to participation in Lifelong programs/opportunities are removed. Diversity among Lifelong families and staff is valued, sought, and embraced. Member backgrounds (ability, racial, ethnic, religious, gender, gender identity, class, traumatic experiences) do not limit staff expectations nor the member outcomes we strive for. The overarching goal is to provide a great Lifelong experience for every member, every day.
