Hannah's All-Stars

For those who don’t know, over the last year I have been working part-time as the Girls’ Athletic Director for CCA. I’ve absolutely loved working with the local refugee community here in Sacramento—helping provide girls with opportunities to learn about sports, stay active, and grow in confidence.Even more importantly, it’s been a chance to show them God’s love and remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for. That’s why I’m asking you to partner with me for the Big Day of Giving. Your support helps make this program possible—providing equipment, resources, and opportunities for these girls to thrive both on and off the field.

Many of the kids CCA serves come from places like Afghanistan, Syria, and Ukraine, often carrying experiences of war, displacement, and uncertainty. When they arrive in Sacramento, they’re stepping into a brand new world.

CCA meets them there—on the field. Through sports, kids build friendships, gain confidence, and experience what it feels like to be truly welcomed. But it doesn’t stop at the game. Coaches and mentors invest in their lives, showing up consistently and reminding them they are seen, valued, and loved.

That’s why I’m part of this effort. I believe in the impact of creating spaces where kids can feel at home.
