Restoring Dignity, One Shower at a Time: $25,000 for 500 Showers
Have you ever stepped out of a hot shower and thought, "I feel human again'?
Now imagine not having access to something that basic. Many people experiencing homelessness go weeks without a shower simply because they don’t have access to one.
At Mercy Holistic Ministry, we serve people experiencing homelessness in Sacramento by providing hot showers, clean clothing, haircuts, and hygiene supplies through our mobile shower trailer. But we offer more than services--we offer compassion, care and human connection.
Every week, our team brings our shower trailer to five different locations across Sacramento, providing essential services to people experiencing homelessness. Since 2021, Mercy Holistic Ministry has provided;
- 16,000+ showers
- 3000+ haircuts

Why Your Support Matters
Thousands of people in Sacramento are experiencing homelessness, and nearly two-thirds are living outside without consistent access to basic hygiene. While many organizations provide meals and outreach, access to showers, clean clothing, and personal care remains extremely limited.
Mercy Holistic Ministry helps close this critical gap. A simple shower can restore confidence, improve health, and open doors to opportunities for homeless neighbors. With your help, we can:
Expand our mobile shower program to more locations and more days each week
Provide clean towels, new socks and underwear, and hygiene kits
Offer haircuts, clothing, and care that restores dignity
Connect the homeless to support services and jobs
We have been blessed by support from local churches and grantors such as Teichert Foundation. Dignity Health and Lutheran Development Society of Sacramento (LDSS). This year we lost a major grant (due to "federal cutbacks in programs for homelessness") representing a significant portion of our annual budget. The Big Day of Giving campaign can help us close that gap.
Your gift helps us keep our shower trailers running and reach more people who need hope, dignity, and care.
