PREPAREDNESS. PRESENCE. PROTECTION.
“Is someone coming?”
In a moment of disaster, this is the first question.
And at St. Vincent de Paul, the answer is already yes, because 2,300 Vincentians, across 57 communities, are embedded throughout a 24,000-square-mile region ready to respond when their communities are in need.
FIRST TO ARRIVE. LAST TO LEAVE.
Vincentians are often among the first on the scene —
because we are part of the neighborhoods we serve.
And we are often the last to leave, long after emergency services and relief agencies have gone, because this is not just where we serve it is where we belong.
WHAT WE DO
Before disaster strikes:
We prepare families through disaster preparedness workshops and resource giveaways.
After disaster strikes:
We respond with on-site case management — meeting neighbors where they are and helping them begin again.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
To serve effectively, we must be able to go — immediately.
We are seeking to purchase and equip:
A MOBILE RESPONSE VAN
The van will serve as:
• Mobile case management units during disasters
• Traveling hubs for preparedness workshops
• Safe, visible points of support in moments of crisis
Not just vehicles —
presence on wheels.
