Why International House Davis Means So Much to Me

At International House Davis, I have found a place that reflects what I care most about: creating an inclusive environment where people of every background feel welcomed and empowered. I believe in advocating for others, celebrating diversity, and making sure every voice has a place to be heard. Through I-House, I have had the opportunity to support a diverse community and learn from people’s rich cultures, experiences, and stories.

What makes I-House so special is that it reminds us that where we come from should never divide us. No matter your background, language, or culture, you are welcome here as a friend and a member of the community. 

I am supporting I-House because I know how important spaces like this are, and the impact it holds in the Yolo County community. They help people feel supported. By giving, you are helping create more opportunities for people to connect across cultures, celebrate one another, and build a stronger, more inclusive community together. Even if someone’s background is different from your own, we can still share the same values of kindness, inclusion, and care. Every gift is a way to give back and show that everyone deserves to belong.
