I am Jessica Padilla, Community Health Leader (CHL) on the Social Connections team.

Around the holidays I had someone new join WWF and from a simple hello and how are you she opened up to about struggles she was facing, that day I when I went back to the office I decided to make a calendar with where there was going to be thanksgiving food drives, where she could get diapers and providing free clinics. 

My work with HEC has made me realize how important it really is to have community and help build a safe environment for others , one person can can help bring so many people together and resources can be shared among one another. this has also made me keep up and updating resources we have whether its for mental health, clinics, animal services or whatever else it may be.
