Support Volunteering in the Sacramento Region

I am honored to serve on the board of directors and work with my colleagues to further the Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA), Sacramento's  mission. Imagine a world where non-profit organizations struggle to find volunteers, their missions faltering from a lack of dedicated support. Luckily, we don't have to live in that reality thanks to the Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA),  Sacramento! 

As a volunteer engagement professional,  I've seen firsthand the challenges of keeping volunteer programs running smoothly. DOVIA Sacramento is the lifeline that equips volunteer managers with the tools, training, and support needed to empower volunteers and maximize their impact. Through member forums, workshops, and conferences, DOVIA Sacramento has provided resources, training, mentoring and a forum to discuss challenges and find solutions.

In March 2026, DOVIA Sacramento was instrumental in bringing the National Summit on Volunteer Engagement to Sacramento offering 3 days of intensive training to volunteer managers in the region and beyond.  

DOVIA Sacramento is the only organization in the region dedicated solely to supporting volunteer administrators. Your contribution ensures that countless nonprofits have volunteer managers with the skills they need to continue their vital work in the Sacramento community.
