In 2025, ACCIS reached thousands of community members through large-scale cultural events, education, and partnerships.
Major highlights:
- First Arab American Heritage Festival
A landmark achievement welcoming 2,000+ attendees, celebrating Arab American culture through food, music, art, and education.
Highlights included:
* Ribbon-cutting led by Karina Talamantes
* Certificate of Recognition presented by Rob Bonta’s office
* Support from Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA)
* Youth Dabke performances, live Arab music, cultural workshops, and a vibrant vendor marketplace
The festival created a powerful space for cultural pride, learning, and cross-community connection, exceeding expectations for a first-time event.
- Delivered 4 energy-efficiency workshops in partnership with SMUD, serving 135 Arabic-speaking families (~750 individuals) and helping households reduce energy costs by up to 20%
- Hosted the 5th Annual Fundraiser with strong community and partner attendance
- Participation in the International Kids Festival and multiple community events
ACCIS is dedicated to creating a welcoming space for immigrants and refugees in Sacramento, empowering them to seamlessly integrate into the community. Our initiatives, in partnership with other organizations, provide tailored resources and support for unique needs, fostering a sense of belonging. Through active participation in events, ACCIS celebrates diversity and contributes to the well-being of immigrants and refugees, building a strong, inclusive community through shared experiences.
