Everyone needs to learn to swim! And everyone needs to learn to be safe around water. Did you know that drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4? And the second leading cause of accidental death for children ages 5 to 14? For every child under the age of 18 who dies from drowning, another 7 receive emergency care or hospitalization.
You can help save a life by teaching a child (or an adult!) to swim at the YMCA!
At the YMCA you are never too old, or too young, to learn important water safety and swim lessons. Your gift will go to provide free or low cost swim lessons to individuals and families who could not otherwise afford them.
