In 2026, the YMCA is celebrating 175 years of strengthening communities nationwide, and the YMCA of Superior California proudly marks 160 years of service in the greater Sacramento region. Our mission is to inspire all to a healthy life - in spirit, mind, and body.

At the Y, children discover a safe place to learn, grow, and build life skills. Adults of all ages find opportunities to stay active and engaged through wellness programs. Together, we address critical community needs, including food insecurity, affordable childcare, and mental health support. From sports to education to wellness, the YMCA is making a lasting impact in the lives of more than 20,000 people each year.

Your support allows us to continue offering these essential services so that every individual, no matter their income or background, has access to life changing opportunities. Together we are building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.

Mission

Inspire all people to a healthy life - in spirit, mind, and body.

Needs

At the YMCA we want to ensure that healthy living is accessible to ALL. Our Y-Assist program provides scholarships and memberships to children, families, and individuals who would otherwise be unable to participate in our programs.

The YMCA served over 20,000 people in 2025, including those participating through Y-Assist. Our before and after school programming provided 1,195 youth with academic support, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Over 1,000 youth participated in swim lessons focused on safety and drowning prevention. YMCA Youth Sports programs helped 2,815 kids practice teamwork. The YMCA served over 4,640 seniors in our community with membership, classes, and age-appropriate programming. To address lifelong health, the YMCA distributed 126,480 meals through its food programs and delivered 11 Health and Wellness programs, including Falls Prevention.

Your donations ensure that these programs are available to every member in our community, regardless of their financial background.
