Rivaan's Story
Hey there! I’m Rivaan Tanneru, a 14-year-old passionate about making a difference. I joined Hands4Hope back in 6th grade when a friend invited me to a meeting, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The incredible impact Hands4Hope has on our communities and young people like me is truly inspiring.
After that first year, I knew I wanted to be part of Hands4Hope for as long as possible. As a 7th grader, I was eager to make a big impact, and now, as an 8th grader, I’m proud to serve as the president of Hands4Hope at my middle school and represent my peers on the youth board.
One of my favorite memories is a toss-up between having a blast spraying my friends with hoses at our car wash and then getting back to cleaning cars, or hanging out with high schoolers I might never have met otherwise at an event. These experiences have been amazing and have helped me grow in so many ways.
Hands4Hope has given me the foundation to support my community like no other organization. It’s not just important to me; it’s a vital part of the lives of all the youth who participate and benefit from it. By supporting Hands4Hope, you’re helping shy sixth graders like I once was transform into confident leaders ready to make the world a better place. Your donation can make a huge difference!
Andy's Story
My Hands4Hope journey started simply — packing food bags at a community event. But what I walked away with was so much more than I expected. Learning about how Hands4Hope engages young people to understand real social issues and take meaningful action lit something up in me.
That inspiration became personal when I got to work alongside Rivaan — an 8th grader, club president at Rolling Hills Middle School, and Middle School Representative on the Hands4Hope Youth Board. We're co-running a fundraising event together, and watching him lead with that kind of purpose and drive at his age is exactly why this organization matters.
Hands4Hope isn't just teaching kids about community — it's producing the next generation of people who actually show up for it. That's worth sustaining. That's why I'm giving on Big Day of Giving, and why I hope you will too.
