Let's Launch Literacy!

Can we talk literacy?  Research shows that students who are not proficient in reading by the end of 3rd grade falter in later grades and often drop out before earning a high school diploma.  Many students have fallen behind due to the pandemic.  Now more than ever students, especially those in low-income communities, need our support to maintain their educational growth.  Shouldn’t every child have the opportunity to achieve and succeed? 

On May 5th, our community’s Big Day of Giving, United Way is asking for your support; a one-time gift will help our local children get back on track.  All donations made to United Way will receive a $1 for $1 match from the California Capital Region Foundation!  In addition, Golden 1 Credit Union is proportionately matching member contributions for a combined total of up to $100,000 (donations must be made from a Golden 1 debit or credit card).  This is an amazing opportunity to see your donation go further than ever through these generous matching donations.
