Hello, my name is Patricia Parra, and I'm the Program Director for the Economic Well-Being team. 

In 2025, HEC was selected by the City of Sacramento as one of the Financial Empowerment Centers (FEC) to provide free one on one financial coaching in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Russian for individuals 18 or older living in the City and County of Sacramento. Access to free financial coaching is a critical community need, and I’m grateful that my team and I get to support individuals and families in achieving their financial goals in their preferred language.

I feel fortunate that I get to work on innovative programs that truly speak to the needs of our communities and that I get to do it alongside thoughtful and caring staff.
