Y.i.RE Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training

Y.i.RE (pronounced: wire) Home Improvement Division is raising funds to mentor youth in the construction trade, youth will earn a Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training. Youth will earn a certificate in Building Construction Technology through Home Builders Institute (HBI) curriculum, recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Labor and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Youth will get hands on experience on field trips and job sites. 

The Construction industry is lacking home builders, by equipping youth with job readiness, prepares them with the education and labor skills to enter the workforce. 

Funding will also be used to purchase a 3-450 shuttle bus for transportation to and from field trips and job sites. Youth will work with the community for projects for neighborhood revitalization of homeowners properties that need rehab and remodeling.
