Youth in Real Estate

A nonprofit organization

Youth in Real Estate - Y.i.RE (pronounced; wire), is building a direct pipeline, positioning at-promise youth (ages 15 to 25), into careers in the Electrician Construction trade, through a hands-on pre-apprenticeship curriculum. Students gain real-world training, and exposure to the trades through its Home Improvement Division, positioning them to join an electrician apprenticeship, for stable high-demand careers and a clear path from learning to earning.

With growing demand for skilled workers and limited access of introduction for many youth, Y.i.RE bridges the gap by aligning training with real workforce needs, training next to Electrician Contractors. Momentum from last year’s support from donations has already strengthened the program with the pre-apprenticeship curriculum, and continued investment will expand instructors, training resources, and job pathways. Every contribution directly supports preparing youth to step into the workforce and build long-term success and economic opportunity. Please donate and support Y.i.RE on Big Day of Giving, May 7th.

Giving Activity

Mission

Youth in Real Estate - Y.i.RE (pronounced: wire) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that mentors at-promise youth and underserved communities with hands-on training in real estate, financial literacy, and construction trades for Y.i.RE Home Improvement Division, through its pre-apprenticeship curriculum.

Needs

For Y.i.RE to deliver real results, the focus is clear, build a direct pipeline for at-promise youth, into high-demand careers in electrification. That starts with securing experienced instructors and strong program leadership who can bring real-world training into the classroom. It also means investing in the right tools, equipment, supplies and a dedicated training environment so youth aren’t just learning, they’re gaining hands-on experience that prepares them to step confidently onto a job site.

Donations fuel the full ecosystem, supporting instructors, student resources, mentorship, and access to opportunity. This is how to turn potential into placement, positioning youth to step into a growing, future-proof industry while strengthening the workforce our communities depend on.

Equity Statement

Y.i.RE is grounded in the belief that access to opportunity should not be determined by background, zip code, or circumstance. We focus on creating real pathways for at-promise youth, those who have the potential but have been historically overlooked or under-resourced. By providing hands-on training, mentorship, and direct exposure to careers in the construction and electrification trades, we are actively removing barriers and creating entry points into industries that offer stability, growth, and long-term wealth-building potential.

Equity, for us, means more than access, it means outcomes. We are intentional about ensuring the youth we serve are not only trained, but positioned to compete, get hired, and advance. That requires investing in support systems, building strong industry connections, and holding ourselves accountable to results that change lives. Y.i.RE is committed to developing a workforce that reflects the communities it comes from, while creating real economic mobility and generational impact.
