Help Create a Safe Space for LGBTQ+ People in Placer County 🌈
Too many LGBTQ+ youth and families in Placer County feel isolated, unsafe, or unsupported. 56% of LGBTQ+ 11th graders have experienced harassment at school, and 70% have felt deep sadness or hopelessness.
I’m raising funds to help establish the Placer LGBTQ+ Center, a space where LGBTQ+ people can find safety, community, and resources. This mission is deeply personal to me, which is why I joined the board this year.
I waited until later in life to fully come out and live openly, with my whole heart — in part because so many of my loved ones are from rural areas across California and the country, including Placer County. I know how isolating it can be to feel like you have to hide who you are.
