The 2024 Big Day of Giving is Thursday, May 2, 2024. Join thousands of people in the greater Sacramento Region to participate in 24-hour events that benefit more than 750+ local nonprofits. Your support ensures these organizations can fulfill their missions of serving needy and improving our communities through each of their causes.

The Auburn Interfaith Food Closet provides groceries for hungry families in Placer County. Our guest numbers significantly increased in 2023, partly due to the added burden of inflation, the increase cost of fuel, food, and housing.  AIFC is a 100% volunteer organization, so over 93% of every dollar we receive goes directly into services for our guests.

Since 1998, Auburn Interfaith Food Closet has been providing nutritious food to those in need, preserving their dignity and encouraging self-reliance.  AIFC is a non-profit organization supported by 19 local faith communities, over 200 volunteers and no paid staff.  Since its inception, AIFC has distributed nearly 5 million meals worth of food to those who are hungry and need a helping hand – including individuals, families with children, seniors, homeless and homebound guests.
