I am My-Linh Vo and I am a Program Coordinator on the Wellness Education team!

A simple “hello” at a summer nutrition program helped a shy youth feel comfortable enough to join our food demo activity, and by the end, they were confidently helping us prep ingredients and asking questions about healthy habits.

My work at HEC has helped me see how important it is to make resources not just accessible, but also culturally relevant and meaningful for the communities we serve. It has also pushed me to think about how to tailor information based on people's cultures, real-life experiences, and the needs of different audiences like elementary students, high schoolers, or families.
