Help Mishti and Monique Make A Difference!

Mishti's Story: My journey with started in 8th grade when I joined the Hands4Hope Club at my school. From the first meeting, I started growing passionate about helping my community.  My freshman year, I joined the school club once again. Even though everything was online, I felt connected to my community and loved the process through which we helped. Sophomore year was when I truly started getting more integrated within Hands4Hope and understanding the organization's mission and goals. I helped plan and lead multiple outreaches such as Fall Festival, Winter Boutique, Kids Zone and multiple retreats for leaders in local middle and high schools. Through this process, I have learned many other things without even knowing it! Planning, communication, organization, and leadership are few of the many real-world skills I've acquired because of Hands4Hope. I am so grateful to have joined Hands4Hope in 8th grade, because it has helped me become who I am today!

Meet Monique: Monique has been a member of the Hands4Hope Board of Directors since 2019.  In that time, she's seen the tremendous growth in leadership skills and confidence that happens when youth are given the opportunity to take their own ideas and turn them into action.  Monique is passionate about Hands4Hope because she feels strongly that youth need a safe place to learn problem solving, collaboration, financial and communication skills all while connecting with each other and filling unmet needs in the community.  She’s excited to give her three young children the opportunity to be a part of Hands4Hope in the future!
