Strong Moms Raise Strong Men: Jon’s Story

I was raised by a strong, determined single mom. She worked hard, sacrificed deeply, and poured everything into giving me a shot at a better life.

Football became my outlet. It kept me focused, gave me discipline, and ultimately opened the doors to college—something that wouldn’t have been possible without my mom’s unwavering support.

Now, as a father of two girls and a men's mentor for Single Mom Strong, I’m giving back.

This work matters to me because I’ve lived the impact a single mother can have. I’ve seen how much strength it takes. I know the challenges—and the power—of doing it alone. That’s why I stand with the moms in our community who are doing it every day.

Single Mom Strong helps single mothers and their children thrive through:

• Mentorship and personal development, giving moms the tools to grow professionally and emotionally

• Community events and parent support groups, so no mom feels alone
