Right now is a great time to shine a light on the enduring contributions of immigrant women to our country.

Did you know about Thelma Buchholdt, first Philippine-born American legislator in the United States? Neither did I! Many of us haven't had the chance to learn about Asian American history - because our stories have not been written or published.

Let's help Justine and Sawaga River Press publish a picture book about Thelma Buchholdt, member of the Alaska House of Representatives from 1974-1982, historian, author, attorney and community activist.
