Exodus Project: A Pathway to Reentry

The Exodus Project is a cornerstone of our Special Works, providing a bridge of hope for men and women transitioning from incarceration back into our communities. We believe that a person’s past does not define their future, and that true restoration requires both practical resources and consistent human connection.

By offering a comprehensive pathway to reentry, we address the root causes of recidivism and empower returning citizens to build stable, productive lives. Our holistic approach includes:

  • Mentorship: The heart of the program, matching participants with trained mentors who offer one-on-one support during the final months of incarceration and the critical first six months post-release.

  • Essential Resources: Providing "gate-side" assistance, housing support, and navigation for vital services like identification and transportation.

  • Workforce Development: Connecting participants with employers who value the dignity of work and are willing to provide a fresh start to those eager to contribute to their community.

Call to Action: Be a Force for Change

You can play a vital role in breaking the cycle of incarceration and restoring families in our region. Whether you offer your time, your professional expertise, or your financial support, you are helping someone walk the path toward a new life.

  • Become a Mentor: Commit just five to eight hours a month to walk alongside a neighbor in transition. Our comprehensive training ensures you are equipped to be a steady source of encouragement.

  • Employ a Returning Citizen: Open your workforce to motivated individuals ready to prove their value. We can help guide you through the process, including available federal tax credits.

  • Donate Today: Your financial gift directly funds the resources—from bus passes and work boots to housing deposits—that make a successful reentry possible.
