JC Cavaletto's CASA Sacramento Fundraiser

I joined CASA Ventura 5 years ago and when my family relocated to Sacramento last year, I also began volunteering with CASA of Sacramento County.   I am currently assigned to a Juvenile Justice case. A CASA advocate in the Juvenile Justice program does not focus on what the youth did to be placed on probation.  We assist with helping to move them forward and with understanding how successful the youth can be, once the probation terms are completed and the case is dismissed. We work with the Court, other community agencies and programs to emphasize guidance, education, treatment and rehabilitation, over punishment by encouraging positive citizenship, and advocating--doing what’s in the best interest for the minor, focusing on the youth's success and rehabilitation. 

You can help a child in foster care create a new life of promise and possibility. Support CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Sacramento County—the only local volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens to stand up for vulnerable children in the family court system.
