My name is Josh Meier and I'm always on the lookout for new ways to challenge myself both mentally and physically. For the past 2 years I've been a member of Mini's House of Pain, a gym in my local community. Shortly after I joined the founder, Vince Mini, tragically passed away. His family continues to run the gym and it's truly become a critical part of my life.

Vince Mini was a true beacon in our community for more than three decades. While he guided many in their physical fitness, his greatest gift was the care he gave to people’s mental and spiritual well-being. Though his passing came far too soon, his legacy of compassion and generosity lives on through his family, friends, and the Mini’s House of Pain community.

Mini's is doing their second annual memorial challenge to keep Vince's vision alive and donate to worthy causes in our community. This challenge is a 24 hour test of both physical and mental endurance where I will be alternating between lifting and rucking for the full 24 hours. I have a personal goal to ruck the equivalent of a marathon!

This years partner organization is CASA El Dorado. Since 1992, CASA El Dorado has provided support, empowerment and a voice for abused, neglected and at-risk youth in our community. CASA of El Dorado County trains and supports community volunteers, sworn in by a judge, to serve as caring, consistent adults and trusted advocates for children in foster care and the juvenile justice system. CASAs meet weekly with their child, become experts on their needs and circumstances, and provide fact-based reports to the court to ensure the child’s best interests are heard. By showing up through every placement and challenge, CASAs make a lifelong impact; helping children feel seen, supported, and set on a path toward a brighter future. dLast Fiscal Year 65 CASA’s served 199 children, logging 4,878 volunteer hours with our youth! 96 of our CASA children achieved safe permanent homes.

My personal goal is to raise $1000 and would love your help! I invite you to:

  1. Give — any amount helps.

  2. Share — post this on your social media, with your friends, neighbors, or book club.

  3. Become — if you’re 21+, consider becoming a CASA Advocate. (There are currently volunteer openings.) GivingEdge

When you give to CASA El Dorado, you're doing more than donating — you’re giving a voice, a chance, and a champion to a child who needs them most.

Thank you for making room in your heart (and wallet) for children in need. Together, we can ensure no child in El Dorado has to wait.
