CASA El Dorado is truly humbled and honored to be the beneficiary of the Second Annual Vincent Mini Memorial 50/50 Challenge.
Vincent Mini was a true beacon in our community for more than three decades. While he guided many in their physical fitness, his greatest gift was the care he gave to people’s mental and spiritual well-being. Though his passing came far too soon, his legacy of compassion and generosity lives on through his family, friends, and the Mini’s House of Pain community.
We are deeply grateful to the Mini family and community for choosing CASA El Dorado to be part of honoring Vincent’s life and carrying his giving spirit forward. This support means so much to us, and even more to the children and families we serve.
About CASA El Dorado:
“No one told me where I was going. I just remember holding a trash bag with my stuff in it.”
These are the words of Lena, a 9-year-old girl who was removed from her home in the middle of the night after years of neglect. She had been taking care of her younger brother, missing school, and living in fear—until the day everything changed.
Lena entered foster care scared, confused, and alone. She didn’t understand why she couldn’t go home, or what would happen next. What she needed most was someone to be there for her. Someone just for her.
That someone was her CASA Advocate.
Every child deserves a champion—someone who will stand by them, fight for them, and help them rise above the challenges they face. For children in foster care, this need is urgent. Many endure the trauma of abuse or neglect, multiple placements, and the uncertainty of separation from their families.
At CASA El Dorado, we believe that no child should face these hardships alone. Our dedicated volunteer Advocates provide stability, compassion, and a powerful voice in the courtroom and beyond. Through our CASA program, Family Coaching, and Family Law support, we work tirelessly to ensure that every child we serve has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.
Since 1992, CASA El Dorado has been a champion for over 3,500 children in foster care. But the need continues. Today, 30 children in our community are waiting for someone to step up and be their advocate—their champion.
