Dear friends and family,

As you know I am passionate about Meals on Wheels Yolo County! In addition to serving as vice chair on the board, Jeff and I are active volunteers and deliver meals.  We enjoy sharing smiles with those on our route and it's rewarding to know that we are delivering nutritious meals to members of our community. As a retired clinical nurse specialist at UC Davis Health, I instructed patients in the importance of healthy nutrition. Now, I'm blessed and proud to be a part of assuring healthy nutrition to seniors in Yolo County.

MOW Yolo's program has grown by an incredible 150% in two years, while approaching 20,000 meals produced and delivered each month. Yet MOW Yolo is still serving only 12% of the senior population estimated to be food insecure in our county, per 2020 US Census statistics. As many as 8,100 local seniors live in poverty and await healthy meals.
