If you haven’t lost someone in your life, just live a little longer. We don’t get out of this world without being touched by loss. Grief is a part of life, therefore it’s the most unifying experience to lose someone. This is why Together We Heal Community was created.
Together We Heal Community launched in 2021 as a 501(c)3 with the objective of creating space for people struggling with loss in its many forms and equip them with tools to build a life filled with joy. Since our beginning, our goal was to provide different and unique opportunities to process grief and bring healing, comfort and connection to our community through support groups, creative workshops, and wellness retreats. We have felt our community grow so much in just 3 years and none of this is possible without the generosity of our donors!
Since 2021 We have been able to bring several opportunities to help our community process grief:
- Hosted 5 Successful Wellness Retreats.
- Provide over 95 low-cost workshops for healing.
- Gave away over 2000 beautiful flower arrangements to grievers, first responders, dispatchers, law enforcement, and churches in our community.
- Continued to build and grow our network of resources with therapists, hospices, and other bereavement organizations in the Sacramento area.
- Start our first ongoing Grief Support group in Elk Grove. We are currently taking sign-ups for our June group!
As we express our gratitude for how far we have come in the past 4 years, with your help, we look forward to a future of progress raising enough money to accomplish our list of goals for the next two years. Without you, we can’t fulfill our mission. Here is how you can impact those struggling through loss:
This year, we are working towards providing free Resource Kits for our public and private schools in the Greater Sacramento Area. These kits will aid in helping schools get parents and students the resources they need after a loss.
Your donation will go towards the printing costs of these resource kits. Each kit will cost approximately $2.00 and we want to give 50-100 to many of the schools in Elk Grove and Sacramento to start.
Simply put, grievers need us. Grieving is a lifelong struggle, but it is a struggle that is made lighter with the help of community. Will you join us and donate today? As the year comes to an end, you can have a profound impact on our mission. Your donation will have a ripple effect on those who need hope beyond what you can imagine. Please join us in our continuing efforts to meet the needs of grievers and support our mission of helping others.
Follow us on Instagram for tips and recommendations for guiding grievers through the process!
We hope you will consider Together We Heal Community for your Big Day of Giving Donation. Your tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated and will bring hope and healing for many!
Thank you for being a part of our growing organization. We feel the energy in our community whether it’s at the farm working with the flowers, at a workshop or retreat, or just reaching out and connecting with you. Wishing you a joyous holiday season and a fulfilling New Year. The holidays are both the happiest and hardest of times for those who have lost loved ones. We set a place at the table for those who are no longer with us.
