The Jr Titans believe in unleashing the inner strength and potential of every young athlete. Our comprehensive youth football and cheer program is about more than just scoring touchdowns or winning competitions; it's about fostering resilience, building character, and instilling a lifelong love for the sports. With a focus on teaching life skills through sport, we empower our players to overcome obstacles, chase their dreams, and become the best versions of themselves. From coaches to parents to kids, we believe in working hard, having fun, and never backing down from a challenge!

Mission

The Jr Titans are committed to nurturing the holistic development of young athletes in and around the City of Sacramento through football and cheerleading. Our mission is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where children ages 5 to 14 can develop essential life skills, build confidence, and excel both on and off the field. By integrating skill training with character education, we empower our players to embrace challenges, believe in themselves and strive for greatness.

Needs

General Program Expense Examples:

- Average cost of youth helmet: $184

- Average cost of youth shoulder pads: $129

- Average cost of football uniform (home set and away set): $120

- Average cost of cheer package (1 uniform, set of -poms, bag, briefs): $300

- Average cost of security: $1000 (1 weekend game day, 2-3 staff)

- Average cost of snacks & drinks for players: $1300 (8 practices w/150 participants)

- Average cost of field rental: $1700 (1 weekend game day)

- Average cost of insurance each season: $2500

Equity Statement

Our organization serves a community predominantly comprised of BIPOC and AAPI families with low socioeconomic status. Many of our families reside in or near Promise and Improvement Zones. We actively recruit board and organization participation from our community. We currently offer football and cheer for youth ages 5-14 years old. We do not limit participation in either activity based on gender. We do not require tryouts. Eventually, we hope to be able to offer targeted disability programming (i.e., Challenger Sports).
