$50,000 Goal

Since 1961, JA of Sacramento has impacted over 350,000 young people through Common Core-aligned K-12 programs guided by the three pillars of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness. JA programs enable students to make connections between what they learn in school and real-world applications. JA programs ignite the spark in young people to recognize the value of their education; be aware of and plan for their future; and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century through hands-on learning experiences. These early insights are essential building blocks for economic empowerment and self-sufficiency.

JA of Sacramento works with a diverse population of students from across the socio-economic spectrum. We deliver JA programs through implementation methods that address the specific needs of our community and schools. JA of Sacramento has innovatively transformed our traditional in-class and on-site programs into virtual classrooms and online learning platforms. We curate JA programs to best engage and inspire local youth.

Mission

The mission of Junior Achievement of Sacramento is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

Needs

Nearly 10,000 local students across seven counties are building brighter futures through our economic empowerment programs—but more than 410,000 students live within our reach. The need far exceeds our funding.

Just $50 helps equip a young person with the skills to manage money wisely and succeed in the workplace.

You can make an impact by sponsoring a region, district, school, grade, or classroom. We offer a wide range of programs for K–12 students, designed to prepare them for real-world success.

Volunteerism powers our mission. Each year, 300+ dedicated volunteers deliver our programs, with additional opportunities to serve on event committees, join the Young Professionals Board, assist with kit recycling, or intern in our office.

Our 17-member board provides strong leadership in policy, oversight, fundraising, and advocacy—and we’re always seeking passionate leaders to help expand our impact.

A $10,000 investment will upgrade our computers to ensure full compatibility with our blended learning programs—helping us reach even more students, more effectively.

Together, we can empower the next generation to own their economic success.

Equity Statement

We at Junior Achievement are dedicated to providing a positive, enriching learning experience free of bias that promotes greater economic opportunity and equity.

Junior Achievement welcomes K-12 students, volunteers, educators, staff, and other partners and stakeholders, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or any other legally protected characteristic.
