Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteers are community members who are trained and matched one-on-one with a youth in the foster care system to ensure the youth's needs are being met. CASA Volunteers establish a rapport with their youth and are a consistent, caring adult in the child's life. They provide mentorship, investigate educational, placement, and health needs, connect youth with resources, and advocate for services. CASA Volunteers attend regular court hearings to ensure that the youth's voice is included in the decision-making process.

With 1,100 kids in foster care in Sacramento County as of January 2026, CASA Sacramento is exceedingly grateful for our amazing volunteers who show up every day for our community's most vulnerable youth. If you'd like to show some love to our CASA Volunteers, pick a page below and donate!
