The time is now! The Kassis (Trumark) property along the lower American River is a rare and rapidly disappearing opportunity to permanently protect open land adjacent to the American River Parkway, one of our region's most treasured civic assets - a continuous greenbelt of wildlife habitat, trails, and scenic river views that defines the quality of life in the Sacramento area.

Located on the south side of the Wild & Scenic American River across from William B Pond and downstream from River Bend Park, this 41 acre open space with 300 black walnut trees serves as home to 160 species, 23% species of concern.

The entire 41-acre property is for sale. Conserving this property will protect critical riparian ecosystems, preserve wildlife corridors, and ensure that future generations experience the same sense of openness and natural beauty that residents cherish today.

Trumark proposed this project to fill-in 20 acres of the American River Designated Floodway to build its Million dollar+ homes looming over our Parkway contingent on many factors including our ability to purchase the property. Read more & Sign Petition at Preserve the American River
