Ana's Goals for Good

Over the past three years, I’ve had the joy of volunteering with Capital Community Athletics as a photographer—and I’ve had a front row seat to something really special. I’ve watched this community grow from a handful of teams into a thriving ministry serving hundreds of kids across Sacramento.

Many of these kids have come from incredibly difficult circumstances—leaving behind homes in places like Afghanistan, Syria, and Ukraine. But on the field, I’ve seen something beautiful happen. I’ve captured moments of pure joy, confidence, and connection—kids laughing with teammates, being encouraged by coaches, and experiencing what it feels like to truly belong.

CCA isn’t just about sports. It’s about creating a place where kids are known, loved, and welcomed into a community that feels like family.
