Preserving the Performance

Live theater is, by nature, fleeting—once the final curtain falls, even the most powerful moments exist only in memory. Preserving the Performance ensures that the artistry, innovation, and impact of this season will endure far beyond the stage.

This year, we are proud to present two extraordinary works: Clinically Un-Depressed by Will Holcomb, a moving and unexpected exploration of human connection, and The Ghosts of Smithfield House, a world premiere musical by Joy Gee. As a brand-new work, The Ghosts of Smithfield House represents a rare and vital moment in the life of the American theater—its first breath, its first audience, its first legacy.

Through professional videography by Jacob Marks Productions, we have the opportunity to capture these productions with the care and quality they deserve. This is not simply documentation—it is preservation. These recordings will serve as archival records, educational tools, promotional assets, and a lasting testament to the creativity and talent that define our community.

Your support of Preserving the Performance directly underwrites this essential work. It ensures that these stories—especially a world premiere—are not lost to time, but instead continue to inspire artists, audiences, and future productions.

By investing in this initiative, you are not only supporting a single season—you are safeguarding its legacy.

Would you consider helping us preserve these performances for generations to come?
