The Placerville Youth Center is a key facility for youth engagement, development, and skill building. Designed for middle and high school youth, it provides a welcoming space where teens and preteens can gather, meet, create, and implement their service learning projects. The goal of the HomeAid Sacramento - Hands4Hope collaboration is to expand the youth center to: welcome more youth; expand the Emergency Food Pantry space that allows families to shop for themselves; create a permanent boutique for ASPIRE Outfitters, providing clothing for teens in crisis; and meeting spaces for youth and family counseling.
Call to Action:
A Builder Captain is needed to provide the leadership and direction to complete the project envisioned by Hands4Hope. The Builder Captain will rally the support of subcontractors and trade partners, suppliers, and manufacturers to bring in-kind donations of labor and materials to complete the project, thus minimizing the cost to Hands4Hope. Email info@homeaidsac.org to get involved.
