Jasmin's Fundraiser in benefit of LCAC

My name is Jasmin, and I am the new Board Chair for the Latino Center of Art & Culture (LCAC).

A year ago, I was a stranger to Sacramento. I was searching for a sense of belonging when I stumbled upon a call for volunteers for El Panteón de Sacramento. I showed up, nervous and new, but the moment I stepped inside, something changed. I wasn't just ' another volunteer '; I was home. People who didn't know my name opened their arms, and over weeks of tireless work, those strangers became my family.

I joined the board because I want to protect that feeling. I want every person who walks through our doors to feel the same instant safety, celebration, and 'home' that I did.

The LCAC is a labor of love. Most of our magic is built by volunteers—people who give their sweat and soul to ensure our culture thrives. When you donate, you aren't just funding an event; you are fueling a sanctuary. You are providing the healing outreach, the essential programming, and the vibrant art that our community depends on.

I often think about the little girl I used to be. I didn't have a place like LCAC to explore my creativity or see my heritage honored. By supporting us, you are helping me build that space for the next generation. You are making a little girl’s dream of changing her community a reality.
