I’ve been fortunate to work for Sierra Nevada Journeys for about 8 years, and in that time, I’ve watched thousands of students light up as they explore and make discoveries in nature. Even though it happens all the time, hearing a student say it was their “best field trip ever!” never gets old. It’s a constant reminder that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, doing work that truly matters.

Now more than ever, every student deserves the chance to be outside—to connect with nature, discover the fun in science, and build confidence through critical thinking and teamwork. These kinds of hands-on, meaningful learning experiences should be accessible to all students, regardless of their background or circumstances.
