Connecting the Dots

Connecting the Dots has teamed up with Oracles of Truth Academy to reach more youth and adults in the community. By contributing to this funding option, you help impact lives in underserved populations.

Through this collaboration we will service we will serve 50 people over the next year to help them access supportive care services including providing essential services focused on trauma-informed care, wellness, workforce development, and job placement. These unrestricted funds will be used to provide:

• Financial literacy workshops: A cohort of 50 people shall complete financial literacy training to establish and manage a bank account, lower debt, and improve their credit. A Flexible Facilitator performs this activity. The cost per person is $302.40 x 50 people = $15,120.
• Relationship building: Participants receive coaching, mentoring, and guidance to nature and foster experiences that mend and build relationships. A Peer Mentor performs this activity. The cost per person is $243 x 50 people = $12,150.
• Healing sessions: These group sessions include somatic touch, meditation, emotional awareness, and yoga. A Life Coach performs this activity. The cost per person is $259.20 x 50 people = $12,960.
• Pre-apprentice training: The services provided include job readiness training across five high demand industry businesses, education, healthcare, hospitality, human resources, and engineering and technology. Participants complete one of 36 entry-level job opportunities with employers while completing immersive work-study experiences. These activities are performed by Flexible Facilitators. The cost per person is $484 x 50 people = $24,200.
• Contingent worker trainee stipends: This is a work-study (learn-earn) performance incentive provided to every participant . The cost per person is $480 x 50 people = $24,000.
• Job placement: The services provided include resume writing, mock interviewing, portfolio development, salary negotiations, and direct and indirect links to available jobs in high-demand industry sectors with employer partners. These activities are performed by a Career Specialist. The cost per person is $231.4 x 50 = $11,570.
