Support FosterHope this Holiday Season!

$315

$5,000 goal

Dear Friends of Sacramento’s System Impacted Children,

FosterHope Sacramento (FHS) has served Sacramento and the surrounding communities with foster agency services for 40 years. FHS’s Youth Trauma Response Team (YTRT) is a program serving criminalized youth who are often unhoused, trafficked, and CPS impacted. Trauma is relentless in many corners of their lives. FHS teams are unwavering in supporting our youth. We see their potential through their pain and support programs prioritizing healing instead of punishment.

We ask you to join us in that unwavering support. As in previous years, YTRT will support our children and many of their families as they celebrate the holidays by receiving delivered, ready-made meals (prepared and partially cooked meals).

In the past year, our YTRT has grown, meaning we have more youth and families to support this holiday season. Last year, due to the generosity of donors like you, we were able to deliver 51 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. These meals brought warmth and togetherness to many, including a few who had no roof, showcasing the power of community and compassion. This year we will be serving nearly 150 youth and their families during the holidays. Our goal is to raise $8,750 to provide 70 families with a Thanksgiving meal this November.

If you, or your organization are able to help us make this holiday meaningful for our youth and their families, we would be overjoyed to receive your commitment between now and November 3, 2025. Of course we will gratefully accept donations year ‘round. No denomination is too small. We are excited to share your name with the family you support. Each holiday meal is $125 and supports a family of 4.

Our team has donated their time for pick-up and delivery–especially since so many of the youth and families we serve have no transportation.

At FosterHope, we have a culture that centers our youth’s needs and are determined to do whatever it takes to support them, teach them, and love them. Then, they can in turn do the same for themselves and their loved ones. We want to especially appreciate Sacramento County’s criminal defense attorneys for being willing to fund and support programs served by the Youth Trauma Response Team that help heal youth and reduce punitive responses to obvious health and basic life needs.

Wishing you and your loved ones a season of good health, cherished moments, and recognition for your meaningful community giving,

The Team – Shanalle, Kelly, Thommy, Stephanie, Kiara, Jessica, Ali, Ruth, Erin, and Lynn
