Donations will help pass along our history to the next generation through educational programs, public tours and outreach programs. The history of the Old Sacramento district not only is important to tell to the local community, but is an international story, as people from around the world came to California during the Gold Rush which led to a state filled with diverse cultures. From learning how people travelled to the area to take part in the Gold Rush, to how news was spread across the world, the Sacramento History Museum provides students interactive and creative ways to learn about our past.
