My name is Monserrat Peralta, and I’m a Program Assistant at the Health Education Council (HEC), where I support both the Community Safety and Health Access initiatives. As part of the Community Safety team, I help lead efforts that empower youth by providing programs and resources that help them build communication and social-emotional skills, as well as creating safer, healthier neighborhoods.

Working at HEC has opened my eyes to the deep needs within our communities and has helped me grow both personally and professionally. It’s reinforced my passion for service and shown me how powerful community-based support can be.
