I joined the Junior League in 2012 and throughout the past decade, I have gained countless skills, experiences, and friendships.

When I transferred Junior League of Sacramento in 2017, I was amazed at the volume of organizations that JLS has had a hand in creating throughout the first 75 years. Sacramento Children's Receiving Home, Fairytale Town, Crisis Nursery, and Sacramento Regional Foundation are examples of the legacy the Junior League of Sacramento has created in the community.

Serving as the Executive Vice President for JLS from 2019 to 2021 was one of the most fulfilling and challenging leadership experiences I have ever had. Serving the community during a global pandemic takes careful consideration, flexibility, quick thinking, and patience and the dedicated members of JLS continually showed up for our community in new ways including virtual empowerment events for young girls, voter support in communities with lower voter turnout, non-partisan ballot education, toiletry drives for the local food bank, and school supply drives for our school districts. The proudest project I have worked on was launching our WE Rise program in 2020. Women Empowered to Rise or WE Rise is a women's leadership certificate program that is in partnership with the University of the Pacific. As a member of the 1st cohort, I was amazed at the powerful scholars we got to work with monthly and the application of our new skills into our work as professionals and civic leaders.

Now, the JLS has been around for 80 years and we are ready to take on the issues facing Sacramento today.  Please help us improve the Sacramento community for the next generation!
