Help launch the Natchez Elementary (Washoe County, Nevada) NATIVE AMERICAN STYLE FLUTE PROGRAM

$79

$2,500 goal

After noting the enthusiastic response from the third grade students of Natchez Elementary (a Paiute Reservation school), to her  lecture/performance on the Native American Style Flute, teacher Kate Drennen (a CSUS Alum) approached VITA board member Deborah Pittman about steps to develop a program and raise funds to buy instruments.

100 percent of collected funds will go to purchase flutes and instructional materials to launch the program.

You can sponsor one flute for a student for $150!

We hope to buy flutes for about a dozen third grade children this year, and to expand this to other grades in the future. The school has approximately. 110 students with 30 staff members (classes from Pre-K to 5th grade).
