With increased effects of climate change and the threat of explosive megafires, the pristine resources of the Sierra Nevada and the health of its communities are at risk. Without your help, these threats could change the land and water forever. Despite the incredible importance of the Sierra's contributions to our livelihood, the region lacks the resources and funds necessary to protect and restore the natural ecosystem. The Sierra is often overlooked by lawmakers and misses out on funding that instead is directed to areas with higher population density.

Sierra Nevada Alliance creates crucial programs that address the needs of resource sharing between organizations, adequate conservation workforce, and increased funding for regional initiatives through advocacy at the Capitol. In addition it works to educate the public on sustainable tourism practices, help improve information sharing, and create events that celebrate the beauty of what we're trying to protect. But the Alliance needs your help to continue offering these programs.
