This year we are working on more outreach to our greater Sacramento community to help fight antisemitism. We are doing this in to ways.

The Student to Student program was created in 1992 out of St. Louis in response to this. We have grown to 40 cities across the United States, and Sacramento was very fortunate to have been select years ago to join this program that counters bigotry, antisemitism, and stereotypes.

Jewish students are one of the best antidotes to prejudice and intolerance. Students present in groups of four, sharing their personal experiences on topics such as a bar or bat mitzvah, Shabbat, Israel experiences or what Israel means to you, antisemitism, the Holocaust, and kashrut.

The Jewish Parent Education Initiative is empowering parents across the region to bring Jewish learning into elementary school classrooms. Through stories, activities, and hands-on experiences tied to holidays like Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah, and Jewish American Heritage Month, children learn about Jews and Judaism. This learning opportunity lowers stigma among parents and builds understanding among students. Helping young students see Judaism as vibrant, relatable, and familiar.
