At Meristem, our family found a community that truly supports and empowers Emily to thrive. Over the past 2 and 1/2 years Emily has grown from a young woman with a very, very limited life to one who can increasingly handle and enjoy life's great opportunities. 

She's now an employee, a community volunteer, a college student, a dorm student, a friend, an artist - a thriving young adult!

Meristem is a nonprofit program that helps autistic and neurodiverse young adults build the real-world skills, social capacity, and independence they need to take their next steps — whether that’s finding a job, pursuing higher education, or living more independently.

Since joining Meristem, we have seen Emily grow in confidence, make meaningful friendships, and develop skills that are opening new doors for her every day. It's been life-changing for our family.

However, access to a program like Meristem isn’t possible for every family without help. Scholarship funds are critical to making this experience available to more young adults who are ready to learn, grow, and shine.
