For 78 years, CRH has been a beacon of hope for the Sacramento region and other communities in California; providing compassionate care for children and youth in crisis who have nowhere else to turn. Our organization focuses on providing intensive mental health treatment services to traumatized and vulnerable kids, many of whom have had lengthy negative experiences with adults and others. Many of the kids and teens who have entered our doors have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Through innovative programs we cultivate resilience and self-sufficiency in the youth we serve, preparing them to lead healthy, productive lives. CRH serves about 1,000 children and families each year and served 13 California counties last fiscal year. Join the #Givingleague and join the thousands of donors, volunteers, supporters, and staff who help youth on their journey to healing and reclaiming their lives on their terms.
The agency continues to challenge itself to meet the evolving needs of children, families, and the community through new additions to our services including:
- Suicide Prevention Services on-site and in the community
- Trauma-Informed Care Preschool for the very youngest survivors of abuse
- Partial Hospitalization program providing hospital diversion and post-hospitalization mental health care
- Clinically-trained therapists with a robust understanding of loss, attachment, trauma, brain development, and knowledge of issues associated with adoption.
