Woodcraft

Hey I am JT! I am the woodcraft Instructor at meristem.  I have a huge passion for traditional Woodworking. One of my favorite things to teach is how to chop wood. It's a full body movement that it's very difficult for anyone, much less if you have autism. I've made a stunt double training ax out of rubber that I get everyone swinging first.  Once their form looks good I hand them the real thing,  a 8 lb splitting Maul. It's a great feeling to split your first tree round in half.
