Not long ago, two construction workers, hesitant and unsure, walked through our doors for the first time. They hadn’t planned to be here. They had been working hard on job sites for weeks but were falling behind on bills. Then came an impossible choice: fill their work truck with gas to keep earning a paycheck or buy groceries. When they turned to us for help, they were welcomed with open arms and provided a full load of groceries. They left overwhelmed—not just with food, but with the generosity, understanding, and care they received.

A single mother arrived at our doors with her newborn and two-year-old, carrying not only her children but also the weight of worry. Thanks to our compassionate volunteers, she was met with warmth and understanding. She received baby food, diapers, and, most importantly, the reassurance that she could care for her children that day.

Because of supporters like you, they left with food—and dignity.

Right now, families in our community are facing impossible choices. Demand at the OVFO Food Bank surged 30% last year, and we’re on track to serve over 40,000 people in 2025.
