Hester's 2025 Fundraising Challenge

Please share with us why YOU support Access Sacramento: 

Access Sacramento's Mission is “to lift all voices by providing media education and local media platforms to engage the community in public dialogue and showcase creative expression.”  In my day job, I work to help individuals with disabilities learn to become filmmakers.  As such, I care about the power of media and its ability to create bridges in communities, connect people and share diverse stories.  I care about media education and helping others find their voice and learn skills that are viable in our every changing technological world.  This is why I joined the Board of Directors for Access Sac and I am excited to collaborate with them in their fundraising goals.

Donating to Access Sac on the Big Day of Giving will help in their Strategic Goals to create unique, robust educational workshops & classes that are available and affordable to the community.  Many of their programs seek to bridge disparity gaps to learning about media.  Access Sac has offered internships and jobs to students from my program and that tells me that they walk their talk.
