Chris Hunt's Fundraiser for RCT

Hello everyone!!

The Big Day of Giving is an online fundraiser put on by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, bringing together folks in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties to support our awesome local nonprofits. Since kicking off in 2013, it’s rallied over 60,000 donors to give more than $104 million, building stronger communities through GivingEdge, a platform that shines a light on nonprofits all year long.

I’m the President of the Board at Rocklin Community Theatre (RCT) and as many of you reading this already know, this place is really special to us. When we moved from Texas to Rocklin in 2016, RCT became our second home. My daughters have performed in over 30 shows, each one a blast and a chance to grow. Your support during the Big Day of Giving keeps RCT thriving in two big ways: it covers the costs of things like lighting, costumes, sets, and all the gear we need for our productions, and it powers our scholarship fund, which helps kids join our camps, workshops, and shows, no matter their situation.  Our scholarship fund is truly a defining and unique part of what makes RCT so unique and special in our community.

RCT has been a game-changer for our girls, giving them a place to chase their love for theatre and make lifelong memories. We’d love for you to pitch in during the Big Day of Giving, running now through Friday, May 2nd. Every bit you give helps keep our stage alive for the next generation of performers and gives families the opportunity to experience the magic of what RCT provides with every production they put on stage.
